Mangalore: 'Amigo's Week' at St Agnes College Fosters Friendship

Media Release

Mangalore, Aug 3: In a unique gesture, the student cabinet of St Agnes College organised an 'Amigo's Week' with a mission to search for good friendship in the campus, from July 25 to August 1.

The St Agnes College student cabinet is led by its president Saudamini Chandarana and four vice-presidents Analiza Johns, Sindhu Serrao, Rashmi Kotian and Melora Pais.

The students organised the event with a belief that friendship is a connection to life - a tie to the past, a road to the future, and also a key to sanity in a totally insane world.

The students were given colour codes for each of the days - pink, blue, gree, red, orange, white and yellow.

The week started with a bang where 40 teams, comprising of 3 best friends, participated. The rounds consisted of crosswords, treasure hunts, talent show, logo making, message campaigning, questionaire, and a wild card entry.

The grand finale, which was on August 1, was a tough competition amongst the top four teams. After all the sweating out, the winners emerged:

Best Amigos for the year: Falon, Alreen and Gweyne - 2nd BCom
First runner up: Nadeen, Vishalini and Rowena - 3rd BCA
Most consistent team: Meleni, Glevina and Jasmine- 3rd BCom

The student cabinet takes pride in the success in their attempt to show the true friendship growing in every Agnesian heart.

"Smiles, smiles and more smiles" that will bring more luck and prosperity to St.Agnes in all their endeavours of today and tomorrow. School time is the best time of our life to enjoy the beauty of friendship while our parents shoulder all the rest of the burdens.

The statement made "Key to sanity in a totally insane world" is little puzzling !! What key for "insane world" ??
