Bangalore: Guv Sanctions Criminal Prosecution of Yeddyurappa

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Aug 3: Following the recommendations contained in the report on mining scam in the state submitted by former state Lokayukta, N Santosh Hegde, Governor, H R Bhardwaj, has now permitted prosecution of caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa, at the Lokayukta special court.

Now the decks have been cleared for the registration of formal criminal case against Yeddyurappa.

It may be recalled that in the past, Yeddyurappa and H R Bhardwaj, had locked horns on various issues during the last couple of years. After the Governor had accorded his permission for prosecuting the CM last year, a state bandh had also been observed.

The Governor lost no time in wielding his power to sanction filing of criminal case against Yeddyurappa, delivering a deadly blow to the caretaker CM, who is already at loggerheads with the party high command, detractors, and opposition leaders. The move of the Governor is likely to cast a telling affect on the image and political ambitions of Yeddyurappa.

In January this year, five complaints were filed against Yeddyurappa by two Bangalore-based advocates, Sirajin Bhasha and K N Balaraj, after Governor, H R Bhardwaj, granted them permission to file criminal cases against him and others relating to allegations of corruption and illegal land deals.

In addition to Yeddyurappa, the advocates have named his two sons, B Y Raghavendra and B Y Vijayendra, apart from son-in-law, Sohan Kumar, besides some others in their complaints.

Now, the CM, who was compelled to use all his political acumen and fire-fighting strategies to remain in the chair so far, has no other go but to face prosecution relating to illegal mining issues.

MR. GOVERNER MAY SANCTION CRIMINAL PROSECUTION OF YEDIYURAPPA BUT IT IS NOT JUDGEMENT. LET THE JUDGEMENT COME OUT. "A CRIMINAL WILL SEE EVERYBODY AS CRIMINAL." OTHERWISE HE SHOULD HAVE RESPECTED CM FOR THE SAKE OF PEOPLE VERDICT.
PEOPLE HAVE NOT VOTED BJP BUT LEADERSHIP OF BSY AS CM CANDIDATE.

May UPA ministers including of Congress are in jail for scams, what is the problem to put Yeddi to join them.

Shame on these politicians, our ministers loot India in 2 years what the britishers looted india for 200 years.
Some of our corporate utive owners are not better either.

Two faces of the same coin.

Bad pathetic state for india. Democracy at the lowest. Too many heads spoil the broth.

No doubt, we are blessed citizen having born in a democratic country. The only lacuna is the truth that some of us do not realise the value of being a citizen of a country, whose constitution guarantees everything, as long as they are sagacious and matured. However few bottles of liquors can purchase the ballot and ruin the destiny ( both of nation and people).
Those lot who always kept on commenting negatively, for all silly issues about our set-up, now need to praise the great power that is bestowed to us.

Great move... and right step in right direction. If Yeddi is guilty, he should be punished as per the existing law in the country. What about other criminals(Reddy bros)? Aise bhi aaj kal Yeddi ke sitare Gardish mein hain!

I wish and hope that this man should have sleepless nights. This man has traumatised the state as CM and held it to ransom with is associates. Hoping from hotels to resorts now it is time for him to face what he deserves.
