Bantwal, Aug 4: A case is filed under the POCSO Act on a youth accusing him of sexually harassing a minor girl.
The father of victim girl has filed complaint in city police station accusing auto-rickshaw driver Aboobacker Siddique of sexually harassing his daughter.
The victim girl was waiting for the bus on roadside near Melkar women’s college in order to go home. It is said that the accused arrived on a bike and sexually harassed her. The girl who was frightened by the act of the accused, lost consciousness and fell by the side of the road. The college administration who saw the girl lying near the road informed the matter to her father. He got her admitted to hospital and provided medical treatment. Later, father of the girl filed complaint with the city police.
Meanwhile, rumours spread that an auto-rickshaw driver has given a chocolate to a girl that contains narcotic and she fell on the roadside. Huge number of people gathered in the government hospital as the victim girl was admitted to the same hospital. The police immediately confiscated the chocolate and checked it. The cops clarified that the chocolate is sealed and it does not contain any harmful substance. Police also assured of arresting the accused soon.
