Bangalore: BJP MLAs' Meet Turns into War Zone

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Aug 3: In breaking news received from Capitol Hotel, Bangalore, the BJP MLAs meeting with the BJP high command Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitely has turned into a war zone.

Sources at the hotel told Daijiworld that 115 BJP MLAs are gathered inside the hotel hall to elect the new leader to succeed B S Yeddyurappa who resigned from his post on Sunday, July 31 after illegal mining scam allegations.

When the meeting started at around 12.15 pm, members of the Parliament and MLCs were also called, but after 15 minutes MLCs and MPs were asked to leave and only MLAs were told to remain by the high command.

Out of the 121 MLAs only 115 attended. Assembly speaker Boppaiah was not supposed to attend the meeting though he is a BJP MLA. Other 5 MLAs were absent, for unknown reasons.

When no consensus was arrived at on the CM's post, Rajnath Singh reportedly pleaded the BJP MLAs to accept a common candidate, but the MLAs belonging to both camps were engaged in a war of words and eventually resorted to blows.

The situation inside has reportedly reached its peak, and there was no sign of peace until 1.30 pm.

It is learnt that, if there is no consensus today, the high command might take independent decision after consulting New Delhi leaders.

People don't have to be helpless. You have civilized option to go to the booth register there and not to vote any candidate officially.
Not going for polls may be an escape from ones duty and an act of cowardice.

    Read Below.
The Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961

Section 49-O . Elector deciding not to vote.-If an elector, after his electoral roll number has been duly entered in the register of voters in Form-17A and has put his signature or thumb impression thereon as required under sub-rule (1) of rule 49L, decided not to record his vote, a remark to this effect shall be made against the said entry in Form 17A by the presiding officer and the signature or thumb impression of the elector shall be obtained against such remark.

So you can still tell contestants that you do not trust them or they are na(la)yak.

Dear Krishna, There is nothing wrong in Masood's comments, you should comment with maturity. India is a secular country, everyone has their individual rights. We can vote to any party we want, but once elected to power, PARTY has to represent everyone, irrespective of who has voted whom? Please do not bring hatred by religion or name, etc. I myself used to respect and admire Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his handling of affairs and leadership skills & making BJP a national party. So if BJP is ruling Karnataka, then it is OUR government, you cannot say YOUR government? be a sensible human being. We agree, it is unfortunate that BJP's performance in Karnataka as the first BJP government, has let down every citizen of the state. Also feel sad that other party, ie Congress & the JDS are no better in Karnataka. Better luck next time...we expected Karnataka to make progress in development like Gujarat under Mr. Narendra Modi !

If DVS becomes CM, He can bright the party for future and BJP will rule the K'taka for another 2 to 3 terms (who started the Operation Kamala in K'taka while he was State President). If anybody else become CM, it will be the end of road for BJP in K'taka.

There isn't any infighting. There are a couple of races or castes that are more dramatic than others but there is no infighting.

There is only one Caste the Caste of Humanity. There is only one Language the Language of the Heart.
Unity is vital for all, wherever they are and whatever their country, religion or sex. Love should be the unifying force…..Teachers! Promote the sense of human unity among all people, without regard to race, religion or caste.

claim 1 : Shisthina paksha = "Party of discipline"
reality 1 : party of rogues, land grabbers, rapists, rowdy sheeters, illegal miners

claim 2 : vyakthikintha paksha, pakshakintha desha
party above individual, country above party
reality 2 : individual and money making above everything else, including party, state and country.

The myths of the BJP and its patron RSS - such as discipline, patriotism stand completely exposed by the happenings in Karnataka party. Unfortunately, the Congress is also of similar character - now is the time for a strong third front to emerge whose only platform should be inflation and corruption control - perhaps led by the left front ... They will taste huge success.

Every party has some good leaders and some rougues but the Karnatak BJP has proved that there are only rougues under BSY. This party should get destroyed by internal fighting. They have played dirty all these years. Anyways the other 2 parties are also of no good. Very little choice.

There is a corrupt group under Yeddy who want protection against prosecution, or else they will surely land in jail shortly. Unfortunately this group is in the majority and as Justice Hegde said Everyone has his hand in the till. For the BJP it is a real headache now. Continue with a corrupt government in Karnataka and lose the country or sacrifice Karnataka and look for bigger things at the centre. Shrimaan Yeddy does not care for the BJP or anyone else. He just wants to be the CM directly or through remote control. If this is not done, he will destroy the party to meet his selfish ends. The big sized Gadkari is very small when it comes to exercising control over party cadres. I feel sorry for the BJP.
