Jagadish Shettar Rejects Deputy CM Offer

Bangalore, Aug 3: Soon after Yeddyurappa-backed Sadananda Gowda being voted as the new chief minister of Karnataka, reports have now come in that 'all is not well' within the BJP. 

Within minutes of being declared the winner of the secret ballot, the BJP high command offered the post of deputy CM to Jagadish Shettar who lost the ballot.

But Shettar has reportedly refused to work under Sadananda Gowda as deputy CM and rejected the offer.

The high command is trying convince Shettar to accept the offer and strengthen the party in Karnataka.

    Do not make the mistake of being Dy.C.M. your chances of becoming next CM will be ruined.you are very much a CM for many.keep up your struggle as you have a good number of supporters.yeddi knew you will send him behind the bars.

    I believe that Mr Shettar should accept deputy CM offer. It would be in the interest of the party to remain intact. However, if still he does not accept the offer, then he should ensure that there is no groupism in the state BJP and party should not split. The leaders should ensure that it does not harm the party and no one is jealous of each other.
