CWG scam: CBI Orders Attaching Properties of Absconders


New Delhi, Aug 3 (IANS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here Wedneday issued orders for attaching properties of three accused in the Commonwealth Games' time, scoring and results (TSR)equipment contract scam, an official said.

"Orders have been issued to attach the properties of the three absconding in the TSR scam," the official said.

The CBI has named promoters of two construction companies -- Anil Madan, P.D. Arya (Faridabad-based Gem International firm) and A.K. Reddy (Hyderabad-based firm AKR Constructions) -- as accused in its charge sheet to the court. The three have not appeared in the court, and are on the run, officials said.

Of the 11 indicted in the Commonwealth Games TSR equipment scam, three are feared to be "absconding", the CBI said.
