Mangaluru, Aug 9: Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath has charged that the Congress government should answer all corruption allegations that it has been denying to the people of the state.
He said it was evident that the Congress government is corrupt following the complaints raised by agriculture department officials against the agriculture minister in their letter to the governor.
He said the KSRTC driver may have also ended his life due to similar harassment meted out to him.
He questioned the chief minister who had made claims that corruption will not be tolerated as to how such deals were happening right under his feet.
Kamath alleged that the government is trying to hush up the Udupi college washroom video case and is now carrying out transfer deals instead of concentrating on giving a clean administration. He said on a daily basis there are transfer orders from one department or the other.
The MLA said the government had suspended giving financial grants to the hostel of Rani Abbakka Agniveer Training Centre in Hebri that is run by State Backward Classes Commission. He said employees working in the hostel on a contract basis have not been paid their salaries for the last three months. He said the state government is desperately trying to defame the Agniveer scheme through such measures.
