Udupi, Aug 5: Traffic was stalled for nearly two hours on NH 66 at Pavanje Bridge, near Haleyangady, here on Friday August 5 afternoon, causing much trouble to the commuters.

The cause for the traffic snarl was a huge cargo container trailer that broke down in the middle of the road. It was plying from Mangalore.

Vehicles plying to Udupi were made to stop at Mulky town for sometime.

Vehicular movement was restored after the container trailer was cleared off from the middle of the highway. Suratkal police also assisted in restoring smooth traffic.
