Shasi Shetty you stole my words, the immigrant laborers are poor uneducated ones who are forced to leave their homes in search of jobs and we are immensely benefited from their services. You have rightly said these extortions, rapes, murders are done by hardcore professional elements who have scant respect for the law due to the money power and political connections. They even challenge the victim and then finish him off, such is their capacity!! And in DK the menace is growing because of soaring real estate prices and increasing prosperity due to NRI money, etc.!!

Hi S.Shetty, the incident happened in Moodigere and not in Mangalore... anyway, the major crime in Mangalore and Udupi such as exhortion, murder is committed more by our own people and not by the immigrant labours.. (labours may be involved in some petty crime). So, it is not right for us to keep blamming poor workers, if not these immeigrant workers the twin district will become stand still because our people have become lazy these days.
