Bantwal: Kerala hospital waste dumped at Ukkuda, public waylay vehicle, hand over to police

Bantwal, Aug 17: The public here on Wednesday August 16 discovered that waste of hospitals of Kasargod is being dumped at a deserted place at Ukkuda near Kalladka-Kanhangad highway and waylaid the vehicle. Later, the same was handed over to police.

A few days ago, when hospital waste was dumped on road side near Chelladka Amai road of Kepu village, the public reported the matter to Vittal police station. It has come to light that the same vehicle that was confiscated by the police now, was used in the act then. This time, the public waylaid the vehicle and handed it over to the police.

The driver of the vehicle confessed that he had transported the waste in similar manner several times in the past.

    Public ave done very good deed.Hospital is responsible for this .File a case on hospital for disposing hospital waste on open ground where dogs cats and normal people walk .Hospital waste should be disposed seperate It should be disinfected and transported in closed containers.It can spread infection in air or persons come in contact with.Needles ,syringes are very dangerous.Noone knows what they threw.Give a notice to take away their waste immediately.or let them pay for removing it.

    Ask the driver to collect all the previous dump he had made and deliver it back to the hospital from where he had picked them up. And also raise a compalint against that Kerala hospital for such dangerous malpractice.

    Waste, hospital waste in particular, should be segregated and disposed off and not dumped where ever they want. Environment protection is every one's duty and responsibility. Mother earth is in danger that means we human beings are in danger. Protection of humans is every individual's duty and responsibility. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.
