Don't Compare Sheila Dikshit with Yeddyurappa: Congress

Daijiworld Media Network

New Delhi, Aug 7: Congress general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi on Saturday August 6 rejected the opposition's demands for the resignation of Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit on moral grounds after she was indicted by the CAG report on Commonwealth Games.

On Saturday, speaking to the media BJP national chief Nitin Gadkari had said that when Congress had demanded former Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa's resignation after he was indicted by the Karnataka Lokayukta last week, Yeddyurappa stepped down. In fact BJP itself had asked Yeddyurappa to resign. In the same way, Sheila Dikshit, chief minister of Delhi must also resign, he said.

But Janardhan Dwivedi, turning down Gadkari's demand said that looking at the CAG report so far, there was no such allegation made against Dikshit, hence there was no question of her resignation. The case cannot be compared to that of Yeddyurappa who had been clearly accused in former Lokayukta N Santosh Hegde's report.

Speaking on the sidelines, a senior MP from Delhi said, "How can you compare Sheila Dikshit to Yeddyurappa? BJP pressing for resignation on the basis of what happened to Yeddyurappa is ridiculous. One should not forget Dikshit's track record, who was elected as chief minister of Delhi three times, and who is widely accepted by the people for her development work. Just some accusation in CAG report cannot be grounds for her resignation. The Yeddyurappa case was quite different, in his three-year rule the former Karnataka CM has been accused several times and indicted finally by Lokayukta." He urged opposition not to compare the two leaders.

Hope u have read the page 86 of CAG report?????? Without giving permission from CM how did the DDA (Delhi Development Authority) build roads and flyovers in Delhi?

When the cost was inflated to build the roads what was CM doing?

Why did she approve the inflated cost on her own?

THERE IS DAY AND NIGHT DIFFERECE BETWEEN YEDDY AND SHIELA DIXIT. YEDDY WAS CORRUPT SINCE 3 YEARS OF HIS RULE. SHIELA BECAME THE CM FOR THE THIRD TIME. SHE BECAME THE CM AGAIN FOR THE WONDERFUL DEVELOPMENT WORK SHE DID IN DELHI. NOW WHATEVER CRIMES ARE TAKING PLACE THAT IS CREATED BY BJP SO TO SPOIL SHIELA'S NAME. SHE IS A GOOD ADMINISTRATOR. FOR SOMEONES SINS WHY SHE SHOULD BE RESPONISBLE AND RESIGN ? SHIELA SHOULD NOT RESIGN AT ANY COST. LET THE BJP LEADERS AND OPPOSITION KEEP ON BARKIG. CONGRESS HIGH COMMAND SHOULD IGNORE IT. YEDDY WAS FULL OF SCAMS ONE OVER THE OTHER. HE WAS EVEN IMPLICATED IN LOKAUKTA REPORT AND THAT IS WHY YEDDY HAD TO GO.
