16 NATO Oil Tankers Destroyed in Pakistan


Islamabad, Aug 7 (IANS): Unidentified militants Saturday evening attacked a NATO oil tanker terminal and destroyed at least 16 tankers near the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, Xinhua reported.

The oil tanker terminal had about 50 tankers ready to supply petrol to NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Fire tenders arrived on the scene to douse the fire.

Officials said there were no reports of any casualties.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
