Druggie Lures Girl into Addiction, Father Thwarts Plans to Flee

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Aug 8: In a complaint filed with the deputy commissioner of police (crime), Dharmaiah, Arjun, a resident of Jalligudde here, has requested the police to take action against a youth, who he has accused of drugging his daughter. Arjun has said that the youth had drawn up plans to take the girl to Mumbai by train, and that he could thwart this plan from being executed at the last minute.

The girl is a first PU student of a college in the city.  The complaint accuses Arif, son of former city mayor, Ashraf, of making the girl a drug addict by supplying her with drugs frequently. The complaint was handed over to the police, in the presence of Kumar Malemar of Sri Rama Sene.

The complaint accuses Arif of planning to make the girl a drug addict, before transporting her to Mumbai. Arjun said that two other girl students had extended support to Arif in this crime. He said that three girl students had visited the city railway station on Saturday afternoon, but only his daughter had a reserved ticket. Two others also had accompanied the girl, but they returned after seeing off her at the station, he said.

It is learnt that the police are yet to register a formal complaint against the accused. The girl student, who is addicted to drugs, has been admitted into a private hospital for treatment.

Let us not make a political battle out of a social issue. There is nothing wrong to take SRS man to police station unless they dont create disturbance.

But there are some serious questions here.

When did the father know for the first time that his daughter has become a DRUG ADDICT?

Did he know of fact only after he learnt that his daughter is in Railway station to catch a train to Mumbai?

A PUC student (boy or girl)becomming drug addict is a very serious issue. Both the parents and the college autorities should conduct counselling for students regularly. Parents should be more alert and keep an eye on their children to prevent them from going astray.

Alas!! sri ram sene just had to make it into news.... and all thru my schooling days I have never heard of any wing established by the leaders of indian independence movement nor the makers/protectors of constitution that SR Sene has got powers to take law into their hands..we as a democratic mass, should be able to help this girl just by our individual selves..n not as a community...and @ sanjeev kumar blore...ur blood or ashrafs blood is of the same colour...so y should others not be beware about u? u also belong to india...y should v not beware of u? u eat the same food as i do or as abdul does...y shouldnt i beware of u?
If at all any truth arises of the incident, action should be taken, rather than comment on secularity and invoke all this comments to create differences between society.

I don't subscribe to particular views. the girls father and family doesn't seem to have a strong backing, support system to go after an ex mayors son...you all know why...money..connections and power prevails..he was at mercy of only those willing to help...and possibly got help from only these folks...

When people are addicted to drugs,
    especially the young people then
they are in a different world.
To satisfy the craving for drugs,
they will have to use more, and to
buy the drugs, they will rob and
kill they will say any lie even
to their parents and closest friends. When they are under the
influence of drugs, even they don't
know what they are doing. The drug
    culture of America among the
    young generation destroyed their
purpose and lack of interest to
study. That is one of the reason,
the U.S. had to import thousands
of foreigners to hold high tech
jobs. It is terribly alarming to witness the menace of drug culture
gradually appearing in many parts of India, especially among
the affluent sections of the society.

Mr.RonaldMadtha, with due respect to your conclusion,i would like to mention here: no sane person(father) would stoop to such level projecting his daughter as victim to defame someone. There are lot of other ways. Its true college campus is flooded with drugs and young boys n girls may become victim for that.Nothing wrong if any weak person takes the help of any organisation, to approach people .as u know common man is not comfortable to do this for some obvious reasons.Let us hope the real culprit will be punished

Ram Shetty: You have got to understand that Police are hesitant to register cases. Unless political clout is used, then only the police move into action. In the instant case, perhaps the girl's father thought it right that the Sri Ram Sene would be able to assist. If what appears in the article to be true, then the SRS has done a wonderful job. If the report is incorrect, then SRS is doing it to gain publicity. Whatever be the case, I am glad that the girl has been rescued from the clutches of the devil.

Everyone must read Mr.Stephen Menezes comment. He wrote "No father..." 100% correct comment.Police must take proper action against drug dealers.Recently in Kerala,(Calicut) police dept was shocked to see increase in crime rate, finally they found out the reason. It was DRUGS ! Teenagers involved in theft case, sexual abuse case were caught. And they informed the police that for drugs they were robbing people and once they took it they felt like having sex at any cost !

If this is the so called trick from SRS to trap Mr.ASHRAF then it is not acceptable and if it is not so then the culprit should be punished that he never dares to even dream of getting into this activity henceforth. Now it is merely the responsibilty of the mangalorean police department to reach to the depth of this case and give justice.

Why take these local groups help, things can go out of the hands with the help of these groups again our peace of Mangalore will be raped because of these groups. Dharmaiah Arjun if you can't do it on your own then take a moderate person's help but not some terror groups help.

Very simple question to the father of the girl, if you wanted to take action against the boy (Arif)why do you have to take Rama Sene person with you? if the boy has drugged your Daughter then it is a serious offence he as to be punished... but not with the help of these creep groups but on your own. Police as to take this complaint as serious whether it is true or false but in a right manner.

Daiji is publishing/ sharing these information’s to creat awareness among all of us. So let us thank Daiji, Pray God that guilty should be punished severely and Such things will never take place AGAIN...

There is no need for Rama Sene to interfere. We still have official law and order arrangements like police, court of law etc. Why does anyone need Rama Sene. Who are they and who has entrusted them with these jobs? Are we living in Afghanistan?
