Mangaluru Aug 27: The city crime branch (CCB) police arrested two drug peddlers for possessing MDMA narcotic drug on Sunday August 27.
The arrested are identified as Shakib (27) and Nissar Hussain (34), both from Surathkal.
The duo was arrested from Surathkal Thadambail beach with MDMA in their car. The police seized 52 gram MDMA worth Rs 2,60,000, a car, two mobile phones and cash Rs 1800, total worth Rs 7,83,300.

A case is filed at Surathkal police station. Shakib has 13 cases filed against in his name at various police station for theft and murder attempt. He was absconding for a long period of time after a court issued a warrant against him.
Nissar Hussain has 9 cases against him in various police stations including Sakleshpur police station for crime under NDPS act, theft and murder attempt. He has 7 warrants issued against his name. He was recently involved in a murder attempt incident during a cricket tournament and was absconding. A case regarding the same was filed at Vittal police station.
The operation to arrest the accused duo was carried out under the guidance of CCB ACP PA Hegde, inspector Shyam Sundar, PSI Rajendra, Sharanappa Bhandary, Sudeep M V, Narendra and CCB staff.
