Byndoor: Two fishermen meet watery grave as sea turns turbulent

Byndoor, Aug 27: Two fishermen of the four who ventured into the sea for fishing activity, met a watery grave at Alvegadde on Sunday, August 27, in the evening.

The deceased are identified as Gangolli Musaab (22) and Nazaan (24), residents of Shirooru village in Byndoor taluk. They were engaged in Kairampani fishing for some time now and on Sunday evening too, they ventured into the sea for fishing. As the sea was turbulent, they lost balance and got drowned in the sea.

Local fishermen immediately jumped into the sea in a bid to rescue the two, but in vain. They could not find their bodies. Search operations are continuing in the sea to trace the bodies of the deceased.

Byndoor police station inspector Niranjan Gowda, fire fighting force and Coastal Guard Protection Force, tahsildar and local fishermen visited the spot of the incident.
