Sakleshpur, Aug 31: In a tragic turn of events, an injured elephant launched a sudden and aggressive attack on sharpshooter Venkatesh while he was administering anaesthesia. The unfortunate incident resulted in Venkatesh sustaining critical injuries, and he subsequently passed away in the hospital.
The injured forest elephant, named Bheema, had been roaming around the Alooru area in Sakleshpur. The forest department had initiated efforts to administer medication to alleviate its condition.
As part of this endeavor, sharpshooter Venkatesh attempted to inject anaesthesia near Alooru at Halliyooru. Tragically, the elephant's reaction was swift, as it unexpectedly lashed out, causing fatal injuries to Venkatesh.
