Ellie Goulding moves on amid marriage split

Los Angeles, Sept 2 (IANS): Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding has shared a cryptic quote as she hints at 'moving on' after splitting from her husband Caspar Jopling.

The couple, who share two-year-old son Arthur together, are said to have called time on their romance in July, after reportedly leading separate lives for six months citing 'hectic schedules' as the reason behind the break up, reports ‘Mirror.co.uk’.

The couple reportedly tried to stick together for the sake of son Arthur before eventually calling it quits.

The split comes four years after the couple married in York Minster in 2019 with guests including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, James Blunt, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. In a post to her Instagram Stories, Ellie hinted at "moving on" as the popstar is said to be leaning on millionaire and former politician Zac Goldsmith's friendship as she navigates single life.

As per Mirror.co.uk, the star shared a poem written by Diego Perez named 'The Way Forward'. The poem read: "It is only heavy because you are deciding over and over again to carry it. 'Embrace change, loosen up your sense of identity, let yourself walk a new path. You do not have to ignore or erase the past, you just have to wholeheartedly embrace the present and move on."

Ellie and Zac have been seen together on various occasions as Zac is also heading for divorce from his second wife Alice after ten years together. Ellie and Zac have been seen at a lunch together in Covent Garden and were later seen at The Wolseley restaurant in Mayfair. They were seen on another occasion as they attended exclusive London member's club LouLou's.

The pair are said to share a common interest in environmental issues, and have kept in contact since first meeting at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow, in November 2021. The pair have been pictured at various environmental events including COP27 in Egypt last year.
