Preparations in full swing for Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations in Dubai

Dubai, Sep 6: Yakshagana Abhyasa Kendra UAE is all set to present Sarvajanika Shri Krishna Janmashtami 2023 with the aim to preserve rich culture and educate younger and older generations about the heritage, art, culture, festivals and its rituals. While this celebration is on from the last couple of years, this year the team is all geared up to present this to the wider audience with more grandeur at a larger scale with new forms and attractions.

The celebration will be held at Oxford School, Behind Madina Mall, Alqusais, Dubai – UAE on September 10.

The programme will commence at 9 am with Puja Sankalpa and aims to conclude at 4 pm with a grand procession of Vital Pindi and Mosaru Kudike. Bhajans, Vishnu Sahasranama chanting and puja of Lord Shri Krishna in traditional way will take place.

Various categories of fancy dress competition are also lined up which include, Yashode Krishna, Muddu Krishna and Balakrishna for children of different ages and are open to all. In addition, the members of Yakshagana Abhyasa Kendra will present Krishora Krishna, which will be a competition of 4 teams exclusive to students, parents and artistes of the Yakshagana Kendra. These competitions are guaranteed to keep the audience glued to their seats.

All devotees will have the opportunity to worship Lord Krishna and perform puja.

The organisers have also arranged for a sumptuous lunch which will include a variety of festival dishes all the way from the motherland.
