Mangalore, Aug 12: As part of its awareness campaign against the use of drugs by youngsters and college students in particular, the district unit of Sri Rama Sene started distributing pamphlets to the students of colleges in the city. Initially, pamphlets were distributed to the students of St Aloysius College here on Friday August 12.
The pamphlets, issued in the name of Sri Rama Sene and Rashtreeya Vidyarthi Sene, call upon the students to stay away from the menace of drug abuse. Warning the college students that many of their friends are becoming victims of drug addiction, it accuses the college governing councils and district administration of inaction in the issue.
“Students coming from outside the state, other districts, and other countries, to get educated in the premier educational institutions here, do not get any protection. In addition, the reputation of Mangalore is being compromised. Terrorist organizations have been backing the agents who peddle drugs in colleges and hostels. Girl students are used through Love Jihad. A number of girl students have lost their lives after they were used and their video footings shot in obscene postures, and they were threatened with sullying their reputations. Parents too have been keeping quiet on these issues,” the Sene claims.
The pamphlets, issues in the name of Madhusudan, district president of Sri Rama Sene, Prithvi Salian, district president of Rashtreeya Vidyarthi Sene, and Dr Shilpa N, district president of Durga Sene, promise to wholeheartedly support causes against drug mafia and Love Jihad.
