Mangalore, Aug 13: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda arrived in the city on Saturday August 13 at 8.15 am, on his first visit after he assumed the office of the chief minister earlier this month.

Addressing the media, he said that being chosen as the CM gave him a wonderful opportunity to serve the people of Karnataka. Though no new projects are on the anvil, the ongoing ones will be implemented more effectively and speedily, he said.

He promised to give a new dimension to the development of the state, and said that Karnataka is currently the second in India when it comes to development, and his aim will be to take it to the top position.

He thanked the people of Dakshina Kannada and the BJP workers in the district for playing an instrumental role in bringing BJP to power in the state.

Regarding his ministry, he said that another ministry expansion will take place in the next few days.

On his plans for the development of Dakshina Kannada, he said he will hold discussion with the MCC, the taluk panchayat officials and others to chalk out a development plan for the district.

He also said that he will try to win the trust of the people, the officers and also the opposition in his mission to develop the state. Every week, he will spend three-four days in Bangalore, two days to travel around the state and one day with his family, he said.

When asked about his plans to contest as MLA next, he said he has still not decided from where he would contest, but would do take a decision in month's time.

DVS will visit religious cengtres like Subrahmanya Temple and Durgakshetra, Jeppu on August 13 and 14.

IGP Alok Mohan, city police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, MP Nalin Kumar, district in-charge minister Krishna Palemar, Padmanabha Kottari and district BJP leaders were present.

Dear Mr. DVS, if you act as role model with honesty, deligency, unbiased, 50% corruption in the govt. department will vanish.

When our own ministers are clean, the subordinates dare to misuse the power.

We wish all the best and hope you will lead as a role model unlike your predecessors.

I do not whether you visit church every Sunday for offering prayers. One should visit his favourite temple, church, masjid,Gurudwara,Basadi regularly for offering prayers whenever finds time. However for politicians this should not be a vote bank politics like many politicians do.So visiting temples by DVS as many times he likes is most welcome. He is an ardent devotee of Lord Mahalingeshwara Puttur.May Lord Mahalingeshwara bless him for his future endevours.

Dear DVS... you have less time and more work. Even if you wish to visit 175 Taluks (of the state)in 24 Months/102 weeks, you will never able to visit all of them during your tenure.

I therefore suggest, you give prefernce to those Taluks where it needs more focus and attention and give your thought and might to develop and support those Taluks in priority.

Last but not least, donot forget DK /Udupi districts which gave you a political carrier and which will continue to bless you in your future too. As such, these Districts suffer a lot from poor roads everywhere, and therefore give your kind hearted support to develop them. God bless you!

NOW SADANAND GOWDA SHOULD START WORKING AND STOP TOURING VARIOUS PLACES IN KARNATAKA. YEDDY ALSO WASTED HIS TIME IN TOURING DELHI, TEMPLES AND MUTS. GOWDA IS A GOOD PERSON AND HE SHOULD START WORKING NOW AND SERVING PEOPLE. ONLY BY TELLING THINGS WILL NOT WORK OUT. GOWDA AT ANY COST SHOULD NOT TAKE YEDDY'S ADVICE AND KEEP THIS TAINTED LOOTER AWAY OR GOWDA WILL ALSO LAND IN TROUBLE.
