Mangalore, Aug 13:
"Dakshina Kannada district is a land of many great leaders who have lived up to people's expectations in the past. Though I became chief minister accidentally, the values of hard work, discipline and trust acquired in my life will change the common idea of politics, which is today marred by enmity, nepotism, and corruption. I will strive to practice politics of trust and not corruption or nepotism," said chief minister Sadananda Gowda after being felicitated at the Sangha Nikethan Hall here by the district BJP unit on Saturday August 13.

"I will make sincere efforts to gain the trust of people by following in the footsteps of leaders like Srinivas Mallya, TMA Pai and others," he added.

He further said that his political life has been a struggle since day one, but it has made him stronger and he is capable of handling everything given his past experience. He recalled his guru Karamballi Sanjeeva Shetty and said under his guidance he could achieve much in politics.

He said he has already held meetings with chief secretary, leaders and senior police officers to discuss issues relating to some of the departments. Law and order will be given high priority in the state, he said, and added, "Trust of the people can be gained easily with a people-friendly approach rather than keeping a distance from them."

He was accompanied by his wife Datti, who was thrilled to see the CM being felicitated in his hometown. Earlier, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at Sangha Nikethan wherein girls tied rakhi to the CM and other leaders present.

District BJP president Padmanabh Kottari said that Sadananda Gowda had shown leadership qualities even in his college days. He has always solved problems of farmers and labourers by taking part in protests on their behalf. "He has the unique quality of making people with different views arrive at a consensus. More developmental works will be carried out in the remaining 22 months of the BJP government in the state," he said.

MP Nalin Kumar said that Sadananda Gowda had guided him to speak up in the Lok Sabha to raise issues concerning Karnataka. He ruled out any change in the CM’s post in the month of January and wished that one day Sadananda Gowda would become the Prime Minister of India, much to the applause of party workers.

Minister Krishna J Palemar said that the district is proud of CM Sadananda Gowda as he is the first chief minister from Dakshina Kannada district.

MLAs Angara, Mallika Prasad, deputy speaker of state assembly Yogish Bhat, Shreekar Prabhu, Kumble Sunder Rao, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, mayor Praveen, among others were present during the felicitation programme. Sanjeeva Matandoor welcomed.

But Mr Sadananda gowda. you should show your words in deeds. Already the case of tfr of khatha i.r.o Late Smt Sarojabai, 4356/8, 3rd crs, Subramanyanagar Rjj II stg referred to you. You should understand the case is pending under2005-1487 with ARO MLM since 6 yrs. An RTI appln raised a query which shifted the onus on BDA for a reconveyance deed and a PC. Applied on 25-07-2011, RTI applied om 29-09-2011. Do you know the reply recd. Since register is blank no reply can be given, What is this MR Gowda? Youare paying hefty salaries to make citizen to pay bribe in lakhs. For ur infmn 4354,4355, 4368, 4368A, 4369 and more have been reconveyed on bribe of hefty sums. Just because I am unable to bribe my work is blank in the register. Can you please act Mr Gowda? Only by concrete steps and examples you can say that you are not for corruption. Your officials are misguiding you. People without hefty money to bribe cannot get things done in your Govt offices. Top bureaucrats are partners in bribe money and sit in airconditioned chambers without access to commonmen. Whenever you visit any office you are kept away from meeting public under the garb of security. Bribe and corruption are topmost in Karnataka Govt. Almost every Govt office and all officials practise corruption. Even elected representatives and MLAs are corrupt. Unless you devote your time and energy to meet commonman on streets abruptly, without notice you are like a cocoon which traps itself around by its web

Every political leader will say the same slogan when they achieved power. Even terrorist are telling they too do good for people and so on. Very few leaders dedicated their life for their country and citizens. As far I know BJP will always far behind because they are the evil people who seed the evil things in the Hindu citizens and try to gain power. They do all the evil to other faith people and never think of that, “we are all Indians and Brothers & Sisters.”

When corruption was there in the party why didn't you oppose that on the table? You were uttering the same mantra during Yeddy's tenure. Please don't do anything which needs others attention on you. We have full faith and trust you. Jai karnataka!!!!!!!!
