Midnapore Skeleton Case: Arrested CPI-M Leader Admitted to Hospital

Kolkata, Aug 14 (IANS): Arrested Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader and former West Bengal minister Sushanta Ghosh was admitted to a state-run hospital after he complained of discomfort.

Ghosh, who had to withstand marathon grilling after his arrest Thursday in connection with the alleged killing of seven Trinamool Congress activists in West Midnapore district, was taken to the SSKM hospital where tests revealed he had high blood pressure.

He was admitted to the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit of the hospital.

"He was taken to the hospital at around 11 p.m. and after the tests, it was decided to admit him in the ICCU of the hospital. He is being kept under observation," said police and hospital sources.
