Bajrang Dal Activists Raid Rave Party, Find Youngsters with Drugs

Mangalore, Aug 14: The activists of Bajrang Dal late on Saturday August 13 night reportedly raided a rave party Maharani Farm Guest House located near Ullal beach under Ullal police station limits. At the time of the raid, ganja packets and other drugs were found, sources said. A case has also been registered in Ullal police station.
One person identified as Munna from Mangalore is said to have booked a room at Maharani Farm Guest House. In the name of a birthday celebration, the party went on well past midnight. The Bajrang Dal activists received a message that a rave party involving boys and girls was going on at the guest house.
Sources said that the activists raided the party at 2 am and found around 30 youngsters consuming drugs and dancing. Four of them alleged that Bajrang Dal activists assaulted them physically and had to be admitted in a private hospital in Ullal.
It is gathered that the youth involved in the party were students of different colleges. Maharani Farm Guest House is owned by Suresh Jain of Mangalore. Soon after the news of the raid by Bajrang Dal spread, Ullal police rushed to the spot. However, by then the Bajrang Dal activists had left. About 20 two-wheelers and a few persons have been taken into police custody. The guest house owner filed a case against Bajrang Dal state convener Sharan Pumpwell for damaging property.
It is also gathered that the son of a BJP senior leader was also present at the rave party. However, he fled the scene soon after the Bajrang Dal activists arrived.
A case of dacoity has been registered against Bajrang Dal activists, it is learnt.
