Mangaluru, Sep 16: BJP leader CT Ravi said that the Congress government in the state has completed four months and people in the state are now facing the wrath of rising prices.
Addressing media on Saturday September 16, Ravi said, “The Congress government has taken several wrong measures from the beginning. As the public gave this government a clear mandate, they are now facing the wrath of rising prices. The government has hiked electricity tariff and excise duty. Along with this, people are facing drought-like situations. I do not know whether this is a coincidence. This happens only during the Congress regime.
“B K Hariprasad took a veiled dig at chief minister Siddaramaiah. Now, the AICC has issued a show-cause notice to Hariprasad. Some experts claim that it is a strategy of DyCM D K Shivakumar. Cooperation minister K N Rajanna on Friday stoked the idea of having three more deputy chief ministers in Karnataka. It is being claimed that this is Siddaramaiah’s strategy.
“Siddaramaiah said that the BJP is trying to impose Manusmrithi in place of the constitution of the country. He should remember that several kings, dynasties and governments ruled the country and state, but no one imposed Manusmrithi as the constitution. Does Siddaramaiah has any evidence? On what basis did he give this statement? He is giving false statements. Hence, the police department should initiate suo moto action against him. They should register a case and check the facts. Also, he is accusing the RSS of assassinating Mahatma Gandhi. It is proved that the RSS had no role in the assassination of Gandhi.
“One minister in the government has committed atrocity on a family. A case has been registered and hence, the minister should dropped from the cabinet and should be probed. Minster Priyanka Kharge speaks on all issues but has chosen to remain silent over D Sudhakar's case,” he said.
Speaking on Chaitra Kundapura's case, Ravi said, “When there are people who get fooled, there are people who fool them. The police have taken up the case. They should probe this case transparently and provide justice. In our party, there is no system of providing tickets for any elections for money. Ultimately, the party leaders and parliamentary board will provide tickets and decide candidates. When the accused approached Govind Babu Poojary for cash, he should have at least contacted the senior leaders.”
