Mangaluru: Two youngsters trying to sell MDMA to public held

Mangaluru, Sep 16: Ullal station police arrested two men accused of arriving on a bike and trying to sell MDMA to the public.

The arrested accused are identified as Shaikh Tansir (20) from Wadakkanchery, Thrissur and Saikrishna (19) from Kadameri, Kozhikode.

As much as 2.77 grams of banned MDMA drug, two mobile phones and a bike worth Rs 50,000 were confiscated by the police from the accused.

A case under NDPS Act was registered by the police against the accused at Ullal police station.

    Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), an enforcement agency had seized a total of 2,988.21 kg Afghan heroin from two containers at the Mundra port on September 15, 2021. The port is run by Adani, a friend of Modi. The consignment was estimated to be worth ₹21,000 crore as officials said in the international market. Nothing happened to Adani and the news is now hidden under the carpet. But when people with small quantity of drugs is found, the news is spread on papers and television. DRI or govt is neither bothered nor interested in finding out the source of the arrival of these drugs, because, big fishes are involved, who give crores to the election fund.

    I appreciate your comments. Perfect. Now that Congress is leading at least in Mangalore officials are trying their best to make Mangalore a better place to live. Since long one question arises in my mind.....several families in and around Mangalore live lavish life while they earn through menial jobs, their kids dont contribute and no passive income.

    Most of them have income from illegal sources - eg. selling drugs, fake notes, cheating, bank loans not repaid, human trafficking, to name a few. An average middle class person earning well from legal sources will think twice before buying a small car which costs 4 lakhs but what you see on the road are mostly cars costing more than 10 lakhs plus. Investing in business is OK, as it brings more income but the value of cars depreciates- and depreciates very fast.
