Mangaluru, Sep 18: Three men, who came to Mallamar beach got washed away into the sea. While one drowned, two were rescued by the locals.
The deceased is identified as Manthesh (29), a native of Bagalkot. He came along with his friends. Manthesh had informed his elder sister that he is going to work and came to beach instead.
Manthesh rescued his friend, but got drowned in the sea as one more wave hit him while he was dragging his friend to the shore.
A case is registered in Suratkal police station.
