This is an inteer-State dispute. Lisening to only one state is not enough; the other state (kr states( through wgich the rivr flows must also be consulted and brought within the picture before any esolution. Such disputes are worldwide; The Indus VaRiver is sghared betweewn India and Pakistan, so do many lakes and rivers of Canada go to the United States. The Inter-State Commission's authority cannot be revoked by anyone, even by natuibnal courts. Before Karnataka makes its case, the government should put its own house in order and see how they have used the river waters flowing only within the State, such as the Netravati and Phalguni. By what excuse have they diverted those waters... etc. Was it the author of its own woes?

This is an open dispute and any solution must be non political... Let the technical experts sit and discuss how to overcome the crisis... River that flows beyond any state is the property of the downstream state too... We have very very scarce rainfall and now the practical decisions must be of mitigation instead of litigation... Advise farmers to postpone farming in the fields and compensate them for the losses... Give prominence to water for consumption and hygiene... If needed appoint temporary desalination companies... Don't ever politicize a human crisis like this....
