Mangalore: Rave Party – Ullal Police Arrest Six Alleged Attackers

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Aug 17: Six persons, majority of them allegedly activists of Bajrang Dal, were arrested by the Ullal police on Tuesday August 16. They have been accused of raiding a birthday party that was in progress at Maharani Farm Guest House in Ullal early morning on Sunday August 14.

The arrested have been identified as Rajesh Kuttar, Ranjeet Bejai, Sagar Sanil Maroli, Pavitrakumar Kerubailgudde, Jeevanraj Kerubailgudde, and Harsihit Poojary.

It is said that Robin and his friends had arranged a grand party on the night of Saturday at the farm house in Ullal Someshwar, which belongs to Suresh Jain. It is gathered that around 30 students participated in the party and consumed liquor and danced to their hearts' content. The party is said to have continued throughout the night, and as per a complaint filed with the police, at around 3 am early morning, the activists of Bajrang Dal attacked the farm house and ransacked the items besides beating up a few partying youngsters.

Bajrang Dal convener, Sharan Pumpwell, who has been named as the prime accused, has evaded arrest. Repeated raids by police on his house proved futile. Some Bajrang Dal activists have been claiming that they were forced to intervene, as the policemen have been turning a blind eye to blatant use of drugs and liquor by the youngsters in late night parties. The arrested people face charges under different sections of law that are non-bailable, it is learnt.

One of the persons at a party had said that ganja was available in the party. He reportedly backtracked from his earlier statement, saying that he had only seen something on the table which looked like ganja, after the Bajrang Dal activists vandalized the venue. He felt that the attackers may have kept the substance there for proving that they were right in attacking the party.

It is gathered that case under section 30 and 34 relating to violation of guest house stipulations and allowing use of liquor, permitting late night parties, use of drugs etc has also been registered against the owner of the guest house in question.

Moral police ? DOing a good job ? okay, a huge number of masked people, breaking into a private party, beating daylights out of the partyers who dont even put up a fight, destroy the house, and then steal all valuables belonging to the partyers..... sound more like dacoits to me..... Whats the difference ? And whats worse, is the people supporting these so called "heroes" who have no basic human decency... Whats heroic in mob violence ? Whats heroic in looting ? This is how the "moral police" tries to uplift the society and youth ? With brutal violence ? Its high time that these so called vigilantes and self styled heroes set their priorities right. I remember a quote from a hit movie... "The moment we stop fighting FOR each other, thats the moment we lose our humanity"

Ban Bhajrangdal...through-out India. They do not have the right to break the law...as they are nobody to act. It is not their problem to attack, raid the party venue. Who has given the right to them. They could reach any extent by placing ganja or such other drugs to prove they are right. Encounter and finish them off on the spot, while they are undertaking such unlawful raids and attacks.

Don't be fooled. Their godfathers in political circles are too powerful. They would get royal treatment in the policestations as well as daily allowances for being volunteers. It's time educated people realize the game they play. To specify the aggrieved arrests are made and they are are set free as heroes. Let BJP lose power and you'll see all these goondas shutting their mouth and ass for fear of being locked up. This is political drama. Ordinary people are fooled and police profit at the end. Police are dictated which sections of law to be applied so that the culprits walk out scot-free. India ki Jai!
