Puttur, Sep 26: It is said that Karnataka police have arrested one person in connection with the robbery incident that occurred at a house at Kudkadi Thotadamoole of Paduvannur village three weeks ago.
According to the information available the accused was apprehended from Badur of Seetangoli in Kasargod district. It is said that the accused was sitting in a public company near Badoor when Karnataka police arrested him.
The gang of robbers who were more than five in number tied mother and son on September 6 at Kudkadi Thotadamoole and looted Rs 30000 in cash and golden ornaments worth Rs two lac.
Kasturi Rai and her son Guruprasad Rai were tied at around 2 am and the gang ransacked the house for more than two-and half hours. The gang carried lethal weapons. They put the mobile phones at home in water and took the keys of the bike and a torch and escaped.
Acting on a definite tip-off, the Karnataka police arrested one person from Badoor. It is said the accused belonged to an organization in Kerala.
