Mangaluru: Man in inebriated state attempts to kill his children in front of police

Mangaluru, Sep 27: A man tried to kill his child right in front of the police by throwing the kid onto the ground in an inhuman manner.

The accused Mahesh was in an inebriated state when this incident occurred.

According to a complaint filed by his wife with the Kadri police, she said that she and their children were constantly subjected to harassment by the accused Mahesh who is also her husband. She said that her husband had even threatened that he would set them (wife and children) on fire alive.

The wife of the accused was standing next to the accused at the time of the incident. As soon as she left for home the accused brought along his six-year-old son and 1.5-year-old daughter to the police station.

The accused Mahesh was subjected to an enquiry by the police and when he didn't hand over his children he threw them on the ground thereby obstructing the police from carrying on with their duty.

    My heart goes out to wife and children. How many houses have sych domestic violence . Youths in city and around can do survey with abd without identifying victims. Improving societal peace also is our responsibility
