Hazare to Leave Tihar 11 am on Aug 19: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Aug 19 (IANS): Civil society activist Anna Hazare will leave Tihar Jail for Ramlila ground around 11 a.m. Friday where he will continue his fast for a stronger anti-corruption bill, his aide Arvind Kejriwal said.

"He'll (Hazare) address the gathering once he comes out of jail and leave for Ramlila ground. He should leave Tihar jail around 11 a.m.," Kejriwal told a news channel.

"The crowds gathered to support Anna Hazare are spiritual, and there have been no incidents of violence so far in the country where political rallies turn violent easily," Kejriwal said.

"We've asked all our supporters that if they see anyone indulging in unsocial behaviour, they should immediately report to police," he added.

Hazare, 74, had planned to begin his fast for a stronger Lokpal Bill at the J.P. Park in the ITO area Tuesday.

Delhi Police imposed certain conditions before the protest could be allowed. Hazare however refused to agree, after which the police detained him and his associates Tuesday.

He was sent to Tihar and was subsequently released Tuesday night, but he refused to leave the jail until allowed to carry on the fast without any conditions. Hazare is expected to continue his fast from Ramlila ground Friday.
