Mangaluru, Sep 30: An SUV crashed into a tipper and then to a tree at Hosabettu near Jyoti Service Station. One person died on the spot in the accident.

Arjun, the driver of the car died on the spot, while his co-passenger Mohammed Fizan received grievous injuries to his head. Another passenger Anirud Nayar received injuries to his forehead.

The car is of Tamil Nadu registration. It is learnt that the body, which was stuck inside the car, was removed after two hours of a herculean effort by the police and public.

The injured are admitted to local hospital.
