Gulf Region’s mega ‘Karnataka Rajyotsava 2023’ preparation meet commences in Dubai

Dubai, Oct 1: Karnataka Sangha Dubai which is one of the oldest Association of Kannadigas established in the year 1985 with its 38 years of community service to Non-resident Kanndigas in the field of Art, Folk, Business, Language and Culture have been celebrating the Karnataka Rajyotsava day, every year throughout with gaiety and fervor.

In a press release with a joint meeting held at Fortune Atrium Hotel Karama on September 29, in the presence of all statewise associations of Karnataka in Dubai, their presidents and executive members wholeheartedly supported and agreed to be part of the 68th Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration.  This will be the first of its kind in the whole of GCC Countries.


This time the Mega Karnataka Rajyotsava Celebration in Dubai will be the biggest amongst the whole Gulf Countries.  An estimated of more than 3000 Kannadigas are expected to be taking part in this program which is scheduled to take place on 26th November, 2023 at Al Nasr Leisureland, Dubai as announced by the President of Karnataka Sangha Dubai, Shashidar Nagarajappa at the all association meet.  This will be a unique event and as briefed there will be many more surprises of the event which will be announced in the near future.

Karnataka Sangha Dubai’s vice president Daya Kirodian, general Secretary Manohar Hegde, joint secretary Mallikarjuna Gowda, treasurer Nagaraj Rao Udupi, briefed on the planned activities and arrangements for the Rajyotsava Celebration and requested the support of all the Associations of Karnataka in Dubai to take active part in this.

Patron of Karnataka Sangha Dubai, Harish Bangera and advisor Jayanth Shetty also requested the presidents of all Karnataka Associations in UAE to extend their cooperation and be actively be part of the celebration.

The inaugural first flyer release as well as entry ticket release was done in the hands of various association presidents during the meeting

Representing various associations, the executives present were Pravin Kumar Shetty, president, Karnataka NRI Forum Dubai; president of Mangalore Konkans James Mendonca, Alwyn Pinto; president of Billwas Family Dubai, Deepak S P, vice president of Mogaveers UAE; Balakrishna Salian, president of Vokkaliga Balaga UAE; Dr Rashmi Nandakishore, Sagar Shettar of Gulf Gelayaru, Anil Poojar of Veerashaiva Lingayath Samaja, president of Shree Krishna Parisara Samithi UAE, Devid Frank Fernandes, president of Sandhya Creations, Shodhan Prasad, Nityanand Beskoor of Kadam, Ronald Martis, directors of OMG Senthil, Eshwaridas Shetty, Ikram of Al Kamal Welfare Trust, Mallikarjuna Hawaldar, Meghana Shettar, Roopa Sashidahr, Sauharda Lahari’s Mahesh Attavar and Anand Valal and media member Vijaya Kumar Shetty.

Some of the Presidents who were not able to attend have sent their support note are M E Moolur of Beary’s Cultural Forum, Harish Sherigar, businessman & film producer, Sarvotham Shetty, president, Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi, Satish Poojary, president Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, Sudhakar Rao Pejavar, president of Brahmanara Samaja UAE, Dinesh Shetty Kottinja of Yakshagana Abyasa Taragati and Ashok Bailur           

Media Representatives of various website news channels including Vishesha Channel Vijaya Kumar Shetty and V4 News Jesh Bayer captured the photos and videos of the meeting.

Light refreshments were served while concluding the meeting with vote of thanks.
