CM Siddaramaiah to chair meeting to resolve Udupi district lorry owners’ issues on Oct 5

Udupi, Oct 4: Chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah has called upon a meeting with peoples representatives of Udupi district to discuss the building materials supplying lorry owners’ issues of the Udupi district.

The meeting will be held on October 5 in Bengaluru. MP, MLAs of Udupi district, in-charge minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, minister for mines and geology S S Mallikarjuna and other officials will be participating in the meeting.

The MLAs and Congress leaders had met Siddaramaiah earlier and had requested him to chair a joint meeting and resolve the issue at the earliest.

Based on this development, the lorry owners have withdrawn the foot march scheduled to be held on October 4 in Udupi city.

“The lorry owners protest against the new GPS system has crossed over a week now and the protest will continue indefinitely until the issues are resolved,” said Raghavendra Shetty, leader of the association.

    This is the pro-active nature of our janaab LOrd Sidda devaraya...he tries to clear problem in the bud and dont blow it our of proportions..one more thing to be noted that he does not go to inaugurations and faltu functions like bomma and yeddy used to do
