Mangaluru, Oct 4: After tourists and locals responded positively to the ‘'Mangaluru Dasara Darshan' package of KSRTC Mangaluru division last year to visit temples in and around Mangaluru, the package will be back again from October 15 this year, informed KSRTC Mangaluru divisional controller Rajesh Shetty.
He said, “Last year, people from Mumbai and across other states and district made use of ‘Dasara Darshan’ package. This year too, we have been receiving calls to restart the package. The KSRTC Mangaluru division will commence the package from October 15 to 24. If the response is good, then we intend to extend the package up to October 30,” he said.
There will four options in the package. There is a hike in the ticket fares compared to last year.
Package 1: Mangaluru Dasara Darshan - Adult Rs 400 (non-AC), Rs 500 (AC), children age 6-12, cost Rs 300 (non-AC) and Rs 400 (AC) - Mangaladevi Temple, Polali Temple, Sunkadakatte Sri Ambika Annapoorneshwari Temple, Sri Kateel Temple, Bappanadu Temple (lunch), Sashihitlu Temple and beach, Chithrapura Temple, Urwa Temple (evening snacks) and Kudroli temple.
Package 2: Mangaluru-Kollur tour package, Rs 500 (adult) Rs 400 (children) - Maranakatte Mahalingeshwara Temple, Kollur Temple, Kamalasheele Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple (lunch), and Udupi Ucchila Mahalaxmi Temple.
Package 3: Mangaluru-Madikeri tour package, Rs 500 (adult) Rs 400 (children) – Mangaluru-Madikeri, Madikeri Raja seat, Abhi falls, Nisargadhama, Golden Temple and Harangi dam.
Newly-added Package 4: Panchadurga Darshan tour package (rate not yet decided) - Durgaparameshwari temple at Talapady, Chitrapura, Mulky, Kateel and Mundkur.
Free lunch and evening snacks will be provided in three packages excepting the Mangaluru-Madikeri package. Advance bookings will begin next week through online.
