Kasargod: Harassment on pretext of marriage – Bigg Boss star Shiyas Kareem arrested

Kasargod, Oct 5: Police arrested Shiyas Kareem (34), Bigg Boss TV reality show fame on the accusation of sexually harassing a woman on the pretext of getting married.

Shiyas was arrested as he arrived at Chennai airport from abroad. A lookout notice was taken out earlier in the name of Shiyas by the police. A case was registered against Shiyas as per the complaint filed by a 32-year-old woman, a resident of Padanna in Kasargod.

It is said that he harassed the complainant woman on the promise of getting married. The woman was working in a gym in Ernakulam. In the complaint it is said that Shiyas took her to many places and harassed her. In addition, it is alleged that Shiyas also took Rs 11 lac from her. The woman also said in her complaint that Shiyas took her to various resorts including Ernakulam and Munnar between the years 2021 to 2023. He also is alleged to have posted on social media about his marriage with the complainant.

Chandera police are investigating further.

    You can call me crazy or wrong.But I fully support kujuma.Lady gave money to him?Why ?and treid to suck the honey all the time and now complaining?Now no use time is out .Why she went with him everywhere for a year even before engegement?or marriage?Now complain that he duped and took money from her ,and harassment?Now have to think about past and cry?He will be out with influence.

    Absolutely correct. While going with him willingly how she can call it as harassment. And even if he did harass her why then she repeatedly went with him knowing that he will do the same? Why did not she complaint then n there itself? on what basis she could give him so much of money? She has not mentioned how much money she has taken from him or how much of the hotel bill he has paid for her and other gifts etc. These days living in relationship has become a big comic. Everywhere we hear the same story. After going around and staying together and then complaint about the harassment. If these do not have the courage to live apart after a relationship over then why do get fall into such lustful life? Why the today's generation have no moral on this? Very sad.

    Story which goes: Grapes are sour! A woman moving with a man on her on will & wish before marriage is no better than a flirt character. She surrendered her dignity for some momentary advantage and pleasure now cries with crocodile tears. All such advances take place to satisfy personal wish connected more to physical relation rather than Love.😂💘

    hope the woman who has raised complaint is not a milking baby...the fairer sex falls at the feet of celebrities and once they enjoy and throw raise complaint...this is not right...A virtuous woman will never fall to such men

    Wrong. Apparently this Shiyush guy thought he was a 'bigg star' like Sylvester Stallone and could get away with anything. Like I commented earlier, I would reiterate , Inbreeding , marriage among siblings and first cousins are taking a heavy toll on the society .Lets hope the law gives him a harsh punishment.
