Dubai: Massive blood donation camp held as part of Viqaya Day celebration

Dubai, Oct 6: As part of Viqaya Day, a blood donation camp was held successfully here recently by SKSSF Karnataka Dubai.

SKSSF Karnataka Dubai, a subordinate to Viqaya Karnataka, as part of Viqaya Day and in memory of Marhoom Rafeeq Athoor, Marhoom Noushad Haji Suralpady, Marhoom Haji Haris Darbe, and Marhoom Kempi Musthafa Haji, Uppinangady, organised a massive blood donation camp at Oud Metha blood donation center.

Syyed Asgar Ali Thangal Kolpe said Dua before the inauguration of the blood donation camp. Addressing the gathering, he said, "The team Viqaya has emerged as a ray of hope for the problems of non-resident citizens from the past several years. In a short span of time, team Viqaya became famous in the UAE, by involving themselves in several pro-social programmes. Their social concern is really appreciable.” He also blessed the organization to continue its pro-social work to the needy.

After the occasion, Basheer Aramboor said, "Donating blood for the needy is one of the great donations. Donating blood can give life to an individual. The person who donates blood should be physically fit and maintain health. We can save the lives of people in every droplet of blood.”

He lauded the Vikaaya team for taking the initiative to help the public.

As many as 150 well-wishers took part in the blood donation camp. As many as 110 units of blood was collected in the camp. The organizers arranged breakfast and an appreciation letter was given to blood donors.

Ashraf Sha Manthoor, Shareef Kavu, Shafi Bellare, Haaji Abdula Naeemi, Moosa Pervai, Zainuddhin Manthoor, Ibhrahim Aboobakar Athur, Haider Ali Eshwara Mangila, Jabbar Baithadka, Shareef Kodineeru, Chaiermain of blood donation camp Jaleel Shan Vittal, SKSSF chairman Shamshudin Suralpady and others took part in the camp.

During the valedictory programme, Viqaya chairman Nawaz BC Road lauded the Viqaya Karnataka Committee for organising social and religious programmes. During the pandemic, members of Viqaya have done great work for the society and they are true role models to the society, he added.

Jabeer Betampady welcomed. Nizam Thodar rendered the vote of thanks and members of Viqaya supported in various works.
