Bantwal: Absconding accused in ganja case arrested after nine years

Bantwal, Oct 7: Rural police arrested absconding accused in a ganja sale case pertaining to 2015.

Ashraf, a resident of Natekal of Manjanady village is the accused arrested by the police. Ashraf was arrested in a ganja sale case in 2015 and was released on bail. However, he went absconding after his release.

Acting on a definite tip-off, Bantwal rural inspector Shivakumar, SI Harish, Murthy, Ganesh Prasad, Yogesh and Vijaya Kumar apprehended the accused from Kutharu of Deralakatte.

Ashraf was produced in the court by the police.
