Mangaluru: Chairman of Kondana Temple Committee injured in bike-scooter-bus collision

Mangaluru, Oct 10: Krishna Shetty Tamar (65), a resident of Adka, suffered serious injuries in a chain of accidents involving a Karnataka Transport bus and a scooter at Kotekaru Beeri Junction this evening.

Krishna Shetty Tamar, Chairman of Kondana Pilichamundi Banta Mundattaya Devasthana and former president of Kotekaru gram panchayat, was seriously injured in this series of accidents and was subsequently admitted to AJ Hospital in the city.

The incident occurred as Tamar was traveling from his home in Adka to Beeri on a scooter.

A motorcycle coming from behind collided with his scooter, causing both riders to fall on the road. Simultaneously, a KSRTC bus, speeding toward Kasargod, collided with Krishna Shetty from behind, propelling him to a distance.

Krishna Shetty, who sustained serious injuries and was in a semi-conscious state, was rushed to the hospital by concerned passersby.
