Udupi: Mescom’s different electricity bills online and offline for same shop leaves owner shocked

Udupi, Oct 12: Mescom gave a shock to the owner of a commercial shop in the city by giving different electricity bills online and offline.

Sadhana Readymade, a shop opposite Sanskrit College in the city received electricity bill of Rs 2509 on offline billing. The last day for payment of bill was mentioned as October 15. The owner of the shop always pays the bill online. However, when tried to pay the bill online the bill amount was shown as a staggering Rs 5,70,507. The app is showing that the online payment needs to be done within four days. The owner of the shop was shocked looking at the online bill.

Owner of the shop has requested the Mescom authorities to correct the bill as soon as possible.

    the shop owner is saffron gang fellow I think....these are chillar matters...mescom resolves immediately..Sidda is strict...they know heads will roll...so there is no reason to go public with such small issues...non-chaddi govt is in power....people friendly....

    "................so there is no reason to go public with such small issue.........." what is it small issue 5,70,507/- verses 2059/- What ever the Govt may be wrong is wrong. Yes now a days fast track solution will solve the issue
