Bantwal: Tableau on Hazare Centre of Attention at Janmashtami Celebrations

Bantwal, Aug 22: A tableau depicting civil society activist Anna Hazare, who is currently on a fast in New Delhi demanding a stronger Lokpal Bill, was the centre of attraction at the colourful Krishna Janmashtami procession at Kalladka, here on Monday August 22.

The celebrations were held under the aegis of Sri Rama Bhajan Mandir, Kalladka.

Thousands of devotees participated in the colourful procession. All along the route, youth were seen forming human pyramids to break the buttermilk-filled pots hung high overhead.

BJP Dakshina Kannada district president Padmanabha Kottari, RSS Pramuk Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, former MLA Rukmaya Poojary and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
