Mangalore, Aug 23:
In what may be termed as a shameful incident, a group of miscreants entered a government school in Kadri, Mallikatta in the wee hours of Tuesday August 23 and destroyed the school property, but left alone a new, yet-be-fixed fan and stereo.

They damaged the roof, water pipes, water tank and furniture among other items at the school. The students had to sit outside as every item inside their classroom was misplaced and strewn about.

This is the second time in a row that Netaji Subhashchandra Bose Government Composite school, is being targeted by miscreants. Just last week, they had damaged a few benches and other items inside the school. A case was also registered in Kadri police station, yet, the troublemakers struck again, breaking doors and destroying property.

This time, the  police have decided to register a case of theft as a few water pipes have gone missing. There was an orchestra programme in the vicinity and police were also in good number on August 22 night, and hence it is suspected that the incident might have occured only after 2 am.

The management of this primary school that has 100-odd students is planning to recruit security to guard the school at night. The management is worried that next the miscreants may target important documents of the school.

Kadri police have registered a case and investigations are on.

    Mr. Bhat / Nagesh Nayak,

Sometimes I think you guys lost it all. Why do you think that private schools would want more business? They themselves don't have place for students during registration and refuse to accomodate more than their limit. Secondly private schools are well aware that students in government schools come from families who cannot afford the fees and cost of private schools.

Knowing this would you except to accomodate govt school students being a private school proprietor?

Oh! Gosh! Why all these are happening?

I completely agree that it may termed a shameful incident. That this should happen to a primary school is heinous, why inflict such punishment on the children. Although some in the 8th picture don't seem to mind much. The guilty party must be sought out on a war-footing and captured.

But it is odd that these dastardly desperedoes took pipes but not fan and stereo. Maybe they already have those from some other place. if so, good thing not to take more. But why destroy things used by children.

Good advices from the many commenteers. But if camera is only installed in front of school, what if miscreants enter from some other side. I think Mr. Jawar is right. Not so sure about Mr. Ismail's remark that they are not human. Non-humans cannot be held criminally liable - criminal code only applies to the humans. But I am not lawyer. As for why attack school twice, might not be same group. or maybe they forgot pipes last time. But Mr or Ms CGD is thousand times right, this attack is comlete ridicules. Also what is psuedos and melustuwari? Is psedo used to make shoes, like Elvis's Blue Psuedo Shoes?

But hope things imrove for school and students. Chalo police. You can do it.

    Kind regards.

To get these facilities back the school will have to fight for another 2 years or they will not get those facility back again.

Seems like the work of the real estate mafia. Twice in a span of two weeks cannot be a case of simple theft. What would thieves attempt to find now which they couldnt find last week?
