Mangaluru: Chances of rainfall - Yellow alert issued for 3 days

Mangaluru, Oct 15: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the coastal Karnataka region from October 15 to 17, indicating the possibility of significant rainfall during this period.

Several areas in Dakshina Kannada district experienced rainfall on Saturday. In Mangaluru, the weather was characterized by overcast skies and humidity, with a maximum temperature of 31.2°C and a minimum of 24.9°C recorded.

There are indications of a low-pressure system developing in the southern part of the Arabian Sea, parallel to Kerala, on October 16. This development is likely to bring rainfall to coastal Karnataka, parts of south interior Karnataka, and some regions in the Malnad area.
