Puttur, Aug 24: After a busy week, one yearns to pack off to a quiet, serene place untrampelled by crowds and noise. It's not so easy to find such a place always, yet, there are places which are still unexplored and untouched, that may just be the perfect getaway to unwind.

For nature lovers, there is a mini waterfalls at Neerakatte in the dense jungle near a check-dam at Beebimajalu, on the Mangalore-Bangalore national highway just 10 kms from Uppinangady, near here.

The picturesque and serene mini waterfalls is indeed a heaven on earth with crystal clear water gushing from a hundred feet high.

Surrounded by trees and alive with the chirping of a variety of birds, the waterfallss offers a sight that is both soothing and relaxing.

I agree. It doesn't even qualify for being called 'waterfall'!!! Maybe it could have been labelled as a serene place, thats all.

It is a pity that we do not know our own beautiful places. The other day, I came to know about the fort near Sakleshpur and today I am learning about this place. I am sure there could be many more beautiful places where people can spend some quiet peaceful moments.
