Udupi: Unidentified person found dead, murder suspected

Udupi, Oct 17: A stranger was found dead in the campus of Karavali hotel. Prima facie it looks like a murder. Social worker Vishu Shetty, who got the information from public informed the police.

The police visited the spot and began investigating. Forensic experts of KMC Manipal and Mangaluru undertook probe at the spot.

Right hand of the deceased has a deep wound made by a sharp weapon. Severe bleeding might have caused the death, as per primary reports.

A case is filed in Udupi city police station. The mortal remains are kept in KMC mortuary with the help of social worker Vishu Shetty. Social worker Nityananda Olakadu, Vishu Shetty and Ramdas Palan helped with legal procedure. Any relative of the deceased, if available, are requested to contact the police station.

    karavali, adi udupi areas are filled with ghatta bagalkot, gadag etc people...very nasty in the evenings...nearby bar make the scene worst...
