Karkala, Oct 22: Two separate complaints were filed in the city police station with regards to the controversy over the truth behind Parashurama idol of Bailoor theme park.

The Congress party is accused of tearing off the protective shield and finishing layer of the idol. The Congress workers are accused of climbing on the top of the idol in the name of reality check. A case is filed accusing the Congress workers of defacing the original appearance of the idol. A case is filed against the Congress workers of damaging government property and spreading false propaganda.

A counter case is filed against the BJP which said that the idol is made of bronze. The BJP too made a reality check by striking the foot of the idol with hammer. A team of the BJP had done so to respond to the accusations made by the Congress. A case is filed accusing the BJP of damaging public property, hurting religious sentiments and desecrating a religious place.

Though there is prohibition for two months over the public’s entry into the park, both the BJP and Congress have reported trespassed the premises. An individual named Divya Nayak has filed the case on the BJP.
