Mangaluru, Udupi, Oct 22: Ayudha Pooja was celebrated with devotion on Monday, October 23 on the occasion of Navami in the twin districts a day prior to Vijayadashami.
Navaratri festival is being celebrated with devotion at Sri Kshetra Kudroli, Sri Kshetra Kateel, Polali, Mangaladevi, Bappanadu, Ucchila Mahalaxmi temple, Kollur, Mandarti and other temples of the districts.
All preparations are done for celebration of Ayudhapooja on Navami and Dasara on Vijayadashami. Madhwa Jayanti Utsav will be held at Pajaka Kshethra where Sri Madhwacharya was born.
Fruits and flowers are being sold briskly in Mangaluru and Udupi in the wake of Ayudha Pooja from the morning of Sunday itself. Prices of flowers have shot up due to huge demand by the public.
