Fasting Anna Supporter hospitalised in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Aug 26 (IANS): An anti-corruption campaigner, who has been on indefinite fast since Aug 16 here in support of Anna Hazare's hunger strike, was shifted to a hospital after his health deteriorated, an India Against Corruption (IAC) official said Friday.

"Bhabani Parija, in his 50s, was admitted to a state-run hospital after signs of severe dehydration," Nishikant Mohapatra of IAC, which is backing Hazare, told IANS.

He, however, said the nine other supporters on fast in different parts of the state since Aug 16 were fine with no major health complications being reported.

People from all walks of life like government officials, students, journalists, teachers, businessmen and retired judges Friday continued their support to the anti-graft crusade initiated by Hazare and his team.
