Three Pakistani troopers killed in Afghan border attack


Islamabad, Aug 27 (IANS) At least three Pakistani security personnel were killed and two injured Saturday in a cross-border attack launched by Afghan militants at three check-posts in the northwest tribal region, a media report said.

The attack took place in Chitral region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Xinhua reported citing Urdu TV channel ARY.

Another media report said there were hundreds of Afghan militants involved in the attack.

No casualties were reported on the side of the militants.
