Mangalore, Aug 28: In yet another case of serial theft reported within the city, two mobile shops Megha electronics and Ganesh electronics located in Attavar and Marnamikatta and a cyber centre located in Marnamikatta were targeted by thieves on Saturday August 27 night.

The incident came to light on Sunday August 28 morning.

Cyber centre and shop at Marnamikatta

Mobile handsets and cash of Rs 1 lac (approximate) have been stolen. Police rushed to the shops with dog squads and investigations are on.

At the cyber centre though nothing has been stolen, thieves have entered and ransacked the place. The exact loss is yet to be estimated.

Pandeshwar SI Bharthi arrived at the spot. Since serial theft cases have been repeatedly reported, it is suspected that the same gang is involved in all the thefts that have place in the region of late.

The series of the thefts has left the citizens, especially shopkeepers and traders worreid. So far, the police have failed to throw any light on the culprits, but citizens have been asked to be alert.

Please search Kota in daijiworld and you will see on Aug 2 criminals were arrested by Kota police for 42 thefts using a car with fake number plates at 2am to 3am at night between may and July 2011.

Please provide information to Police since these criminals are not locals but they work in Kota and have residence in Bangalore and Davangere.

There is definitely a close connection and similar operation and these crooks need to be severly punished.

I suspect this is the handywork of the immigrant laborers from states like Bengal or perhaps elsewhere in Norht Karnataka working on these projects like SEZ and other infrastructure projects . These laborers are facinated by cell phones and are usually involved in mobile phone thefts........may sound strange but guys somehow I feel this could be it.

"Mangalore: Three More Thefts in City Leave Police, Citizens Worried" GUYS NOW A DAYS ALL OUR CITIZENS ARE WORRKIED IN CIVIL LIFE EVERYDAY. THEFT-FORGERY-MURDER-LOOTING EVERYWHERE IS HAPPENING. WHAT OUR POLICE FORECE IS DOING? WHY THERE IS NO NIGHT PATROLING IN THE CITY. AND ALSO EVERY SHOP KEEPERS & SHOP OWNERS MUST TAKE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE BEFORE CLOSE THEIR SHOPS. NO DOUBT IN OUR TWIN DISTRICTS (UDUPI-MANAGALORE) LOTS OF MIGRANT LABOURS ARE LIVING FROM STATE LIKE BIHAR-UP-W.BENGAL AND FROM OUR OWN STATES. OUR LOCAL LABOURS ARE FEEL SHY TO DO JOB. EVERYBODY WANTS EASY-MONEY. MOST OF OUR UNSKILLED LABOURS MIGRATE TO GCC TO DO FARM-LABOUR-HOUSE MAID JOB BY PAYING LACS OF RUPEES TO AGENTS, BUT WILL NOT DO THE SAME JOB HERE. COME-ON GUYS, TAKE-UP UR OWN JOB HERE & THUS PROTECT OUR CITY-VILLAGE TO BE CAPTURED BY OTHER LABORS, AS THERE IS PLEANTY OF DAILY LABOR JOB IN OUR TWIN DISTRICTS, BUT NO LABORS, JAI-HO BHATAT.
